To embed the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ Histories and Cultures cross-curriculum priority into the core curriculum of Mathematics, teachers could consider using Uncle Ernie Grant’s teaching and learning framework. This framework will help to ensure holistic perspectives are considered, integrating land, language, culture, time, place and relationships and how these intersect with mathematics.
